AiFans — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how AiFans ("AiFans," "we," "our," or "us") handles your information when you use the AiFans iOS application.

AiFans is a private AI companion app strictly for adults (18+). You chat one-on-one with AI personalities, and interactive voice calls and memory features allow those personalities to remember details from your previous conversations. There are no public profiles, no social feeds, and no ways to message other human users. Everything is private between you and the AI.

2. The Data We Collect

We only collect the minimum amount of information necessary to operate the service. This includes:

• Account Information: Your email address and display name. If you sign in using Apple or Google, we receive a unique account identifier and, if you allow it, your email address.
• Age Verification: Your date of birth, solely to verify you are 18 or older.
• Your Conversations: The messages you send and the AI responses generated.
• Voice Call Audio: When using real-time voice calls, microphone audio is captured in real time solely to process the spoken conversation with your companion. We do not store biometric voiceprints.
• Character Creation & Profile Photos: If you choose to create a custom AI companion or customize your profile avatar, you may choose photos from your device photo library. Only the selected images are used to generate and display the companion avatar.
• Conversation Memory: Details from your past conversations so the AI can remember you (see Section 6).
• Subscription Status: Confirmation of your purchase status via RevenueCat (we never see or store your credit card details).
• Basic Technical Data: Your device type, operating system version, and app version to ensure the app functions correctly.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

To keep core features accessible to all users for free, AiFans includes third-party advertisements served by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) on the free tier.

• Ad Formats: We display occasional interstitial ads during navigation and optional rewarded ads (such as watching an ad to unlock additional messages).
• Information Processed by AdMob: Google AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, coarse geographical location (derived from IP address), and ad interaction/diagnostic metrics to serve, measure, and optimize ads and protect against fraudulent activity.
• Ad-Free Experience: Subscribing to an AiFans weekly or premium membership removes all advertisements completely.

4. The Data We Do NOT Collect

We believe in strict data minimization. We do not use or collect:

• Third-party analytics trackers (e.g., Google Analytics, PostHog, Mixpanel, Amplitude).
• Crash reporting SDKs (e.g., Crashlytics).
• Cross-site tracking across unrelated apps and websites.
• Your precise GPS location, contacts, health data, or web browsing history outside the app.
• Facial geometry, voiceprints, or other biometric identifiers.
• Any photos or files outside of the specific images you voluntarily select for character creation or your profile.

5. AI & Voice Processing (OpenRouter)

To generate the AI responses and voice calls you receive, your messages and voice prompts are securely routed through OpenRouter to supported AI model providers. These providers process your interactions for the sole purpose of generating a response. Because AI providers process this text, you should avoid sharing highly sensitive real-world information (like government ID numbers, financial details, or sensitive medical data) in your chats or calls.

6. Conversation Memory

Memory is a core feature of AiFans that makes conversations feel continuous and lifelike.

• Why it exists: It allows AI personalities to remember your previous conversations, preferences, and details.
• How it is protected: Memory data is tied strictly to your individual account.
• Privacy: It is never shared with other users.
• Deletion: When you delete your account, all associated memory data is permanently deleted alongside it.

7. Moderation, Safety Reports & Law Enforcement

Your conversations are private. We do not routinely read your chats. Access to conversation data by our team occurs only when reasonably necessary for:

• Investigating user reports of abuse — reportable via our Support Center (https://aifans.ai/support).
• Ensuring security and resolving technical issues.
• Enforcing our Terms of Service (https://aifans.ai/legal/terms).
• Complying with legal obligations. Where we detect or are notified of apparent child sexual abuse material or content indicating a child is at risk, we will preserve the associated account data, disable the account, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or law enforcement as required by law.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and (for EEA/UK users) to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. California and other U.S. state residents have the right to know what we collect and to request deletion; we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. Account and Data Deletion

You have the right to delete your data at any time. You can do this directly inside the app by navigating to your settings and selecting "Delete Account," or by requesting deletion through our Support Center (https://aifans.ai/support).

• Deleting your account permanently deletes your account information, your entire conversation history, custom characters, and your conversation memory.
• Note on Subscriptions: Deleting your AiFans account does not automatically cancel your Apple subscription. You must manage and cancel your active subscriptions separately through your Apple ID settings.

10. Data Retention

We retain your account information, conversations, custom characters, and memory data only for as long as your account remains active. This data is permanently deleted upon account deletion, except where we are required to retain specific information longer to comply with law, resolve a safety report, or enforce our Terms of Service.

11. International Processing

Your data may be processed and stored in cloud facilities and data centers where our infrastructure or AI model providers (routed via OpenRouter) operate. We take reasonable steps, including encryption in transit, to protect your information wherever it is processed.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date above and, for material changes, notify you via in-app notice or email before the changes take effect.
